For visitors at Parkland Medical Center
We offer a clear set of guidelines for family, friends and significant other to follow when visiting loved ones in our hospital system.
Information for our visitors
We've compiled answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about visitation.
Visiting hours at our hospital
Visiting hours will vary based on both your loved one's needs and unit protocol. For the most up-to-date visiting hours, contact the nurse's station in the unit you are trying to visit. Special guidelines apply for visitors to the intensive care unit (ICU), sometimes referred to as the critical care unit (CCU).
Visitation restrictions
Circumstances may allow for specific exceptions to any visitation restrictions described on this webpage. Those circumstances include religious visitation as well as a designated support person for an individual with a disability to provide assistance with communication or other necessary components of treatment. All persons entering under an exception remain subject to appropriate infection control protocols.
Text message updates
If you want to stay updated on your loved one's journey throughout their hospital stay, you can sign up for SMS updates. We will periodically notify you about their condition and location in our facility.
